The main research focus is on children’s and young people’s social relationships, risk-taking behavior, resilience, civic awareness and engagement, values and perspectives on their life as well as parental styles that support their welfare and healthy lifestyles.
Another aim is to contribute research knowledge to those who educate and work with young people (e.g. parents, teachers, after-school and prevention programs). This will be done by publishing research findings such as in peer-reviewed journals and by attending and organizing conferences, seminars, courses and other activities which enhance research in this field.
Finally the research center aims at recruiting promising MA and doctoral students, providing them with supervision, resources and opportunities to conduct research in this area.
